A proven system for upcoming EUDR requirements
The previous system for roundwood procurement was not sophisticated enough to meet the needs of employees or comply with EUDR requirements. Consequently, a final decision was made in October 2024: a complete system overhaul was necessary. The impending introduction of the EUDR guidelines in 2025 significantly accelerated the decision-making and implementation process. With the subsequent postponement of the effective date to 2026, internal processes and workflows could be integrated even more effectively directly into the project implementation.
“There’s a reason why EUDR was postponed, and why the concept still isn’t finalized—it’s far too complex and unrealistic in practice… The idea behind it makes sense and is sound, but the implementation is incredibly bureaucratic.”
Maximilian Ehrgott, Head of Finance and Human Resources at Mosser
Implementation of roundwood purchasing into the existing TiCom comprehensive solution
Since TiCom ERP has been in operational use for years, the project for roundwood procurement was manageable. The news regarding the postponement of the EUDR requirements then allowed for a more thorough design, and a “mini-go-live” was held on April 1, 2025. Ongoing and essential processes could be optimized and coordinated. Processes such as roundwood sales had to be addressed and mapped in the system, as well as the optimization of delivery planning and, finally, the implementation of the EUDR guidelines.

Benefits of an Integrated Solution
With the new TimberTec Roundwood Purchasing Module, Mosser timber from a fully integrated platform where all data flows are seamlessly processed in the background, eliminating the need for unnecessary interfaces. From now on, invoices will look the same everywhere because customers, suppliers, and service providers are managed in a single, unified master data directory. Even inventory postings run automatically through the same system, so employees no longer have to switch between different siloed solutions.
Even during the project, discussions with users went beyond simply mapping technical workflows; instead, processes—from contract creation and delivery planning to traceability—were collectively reimagined and refined. This gives roundwood buyers valuable time for negotiations and supplier management, while the knowledge available within the company is widely shared. Minor disruptions are resolved immediately thanks to direct support and short feedback loops.
“We’re definitely saving time; we’ve transferred certain responsibilities from our roundwood buyer to the materials management department, allowing him to focus on his core tasks: roundwood procurement and negotiations with suppliers.”
Maximilian Ehrgott, Head of Finance and Human Resources at Mosser
The go-live is a milestone, not an endpoint. With the platform now in place, Mosser timber will be able to add modules such as delivery planning and EUDR automation timber , thereby further enhancing compliance, transparency, and competitiveness.
